a hero complex for succulents and vegan breakfast

November 11, 2007

despite the warm weather and it only being the beginning of November, SF has decided it’s almost Christmas…

i have to admit that the view is really nice during my lunch break, but really…it’s only November.

Breakfast on the weekend is one of my favorite things and i’ve really missed that routine since moving out west. This morning, Dev whipped up an amazing vegan (including bacon…sort of) meal with tofu scramble. i balanced it out with a greasy cheeseburger this afternoon, so no worries about my becoming vegetarian…again…for the third time.

she’s awesome…

and so is her yard. i was able to sit out with the succulents with my cup of coffee. speaking of succulents, they really are my weakness. and since i went with Dev to work at the Ritual #2 at the Flora Grubb Gardens and they have A LOT of succulents…well, you can see how this could be a problem. lucky me! i walked to the T line with a belly full of: ginger scone, rwandan coffee, and a double macchiato. also, two new pots and one purchased succulent and one saved due to my need to save plants. it’s a cluster succulent, which sort of looks like a cactus/ tree/ succulent hybrid.

BUT, the big news this week is that i will be headed to kansas next week for a home install. I will be back in the Midwest tuesday through friday. it should be entertaining at the very least and i’ll be working inside of an amazing home with amazing art.

okay, that’s not it…

tomorrow, Dev and i are headed to Macfee Coliseum

my Bears are in town and i’ve been planning on making it to this game since september. i actually bought my ticket my first week here.
at least the Raiders are sucking as hard as the Bears are, so maybe it’ll *seem* like a good game. it’ll be a blast since it’s my first time at a major game and Dev and i will take a lot of pictures. hopefully, the Raiders’ fans won’t go insane and kick my ass. Dev’ll have to wear black so no one will notice my bears shirt.

i just hope they don’t choke.

i mean, GO BEARS!!!
